Windows log in screen black

Yesterday, I was using my pc when it suddenly crashed! It was pretty late so I went to bed. This morning I tried turing on my pc but right after the windows boot up logo the screen goes black. When I should seen the login menu the screen is all black! My keyboard doesn't work either so i'm pretty certain it isn't a visual issue... I use windows 8.1 pro and have had issues with windows before, maybe if I solve this i'll swith to windows 10
