Windows mistakens free space of C drive as E drive while copying files

I am trying to copy 20GB size folder from my C drive (16GB free of 256 GB) to my other internal 1TB hard drive, E (768 GB free). After estimating free space it says not enough space coz only 16 GB is available. That means Windows10 is taking free space of C drive instead of other drive (E).Please help to solve the issue. E drive property does show 768 GB is free.

Thanks. I have 256 GB SSD where Windows 10 is installed in my Dell desktop and have a 1 TB internal HDD. (7th gen. i3, 8GB DDR4)

Post a screenshot of your Disk Manager read-out. It may be an issue due to the system not having enough temp space to do the copy since the size you are trying to copy is larger than the free space on the disk. What happens if you move a smaller folder over, say a 5 GB one? Try to free up over 20 GB and try the copy again.
