Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me. For the last 9 days I've been having to reinstall windows 7 every 3 days.

It started when my SSD stopped working, would not show in the format list. Had to reinstall windows on a regular hard drive and all was fine for 3 days when it happened again but this time it still showed in the format list so I deleted the partitions and reinstalled windows.

It was fine again for 3 days and today it happened again. This time it's giving me error 0x80300024 when trying to install, which I'm guessing is because I have all the hard drives connected again, which I will test soon but my question is;

Could my windows disk be causing it to need reinstalling every 3 days? Could it be motherboard or cpu problem? Or something else?

Thanks for any help.

Not sure how to quote from a phone but @jsmithepa yes it's a genuine Windows 7 home premium CD. @smorizio the power supply could cause hard drives to corrupt every 3 days? Don't have a spare power supply so would need to buy one, but will give it a try.

Could a cpu or motherboard cause this kind of problem too? Or would it be limited to power supply?

start with memtest86 from a boot usb stick. if it passes overnight your ram is fine. inte lcpu have intel cpu test from intel web page. if the cpu cache goes bad it can cause data errors. in the bios look at the 3 main voltage rails make sure there within atx spec.

Need full system details here, you said "all hard drive connected again" which seems to mean you have several. Install Windows on a good drive, don't attach anything else, does the system work fine then? Also you can try different SATA cables.
