Hello there,
I was visiting my parents home and brought my desktop's SSD with me to plug on my laptop with a USB 3 to SATA adapter in case i need any files. It was plugged in and everything was working.I returned to my home and plugged my SSD back to my desktop and now it doesn't boot.

At first it was stuck on automatic repair loop but after trying some commands i don't remember which it now says this View: https://imgur.com/Nq5hon2

I ran the bcdboot /fixmbr / /fixboot / /rebuildbc commans with no luck.Chkdsk shows no errors View: https://imgur.com/Fdue5qY

I can't get into safe mode because i can't get to start up options menu.

I can access my windows installation through ubuntu which i have on a 2nd partition on my SSD,so my SSD runs fine.

Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks!

Lesson to learn, don't migrate the SSD to another system even if it's a small file you want to retrieve. Best use a portable HDD to move a file and then take it to site.

Can you try and get into system restore or try and force yourself into automatic repair mode? If you can't get the OS to boot from said SSD, best retrieve your critical files using Ubuntu and then format and reinstall the OS.

I did try to restore or reset the system.Every time it fails.Automatic repair mode finds no solution. Is it common for such thing to occur?First i hear about not using the SSD to another system.
