I used to run my 4K TV as secondary display at full 4K resolution of 3840x2160 on Windows 10 Pro up to last month. However, after a re-install and updates of Windows 10 Pro this month, the OS does not allow me to set 4K resolution on my 4K TV. All the hardware remains same, only formatted HDD and reinstalled windows.

The TV is connected to blu-ray player (Sony home theater bdv n9200w) and the blu-ray player is connected by HDMI cable to graphics card on PC. This is same setting as it was before when it used to run at 4K.

I tried through NVDIA control panel >Adjust 3D settings> DSR-Factors, setting it at 4.00x. After that (in NVDIA control panel) a resolution of 3840x2160 becomes available for the TV. But upon setting that resolution, my TV screen goes black. Resetting it to 2160x1080, the TV screen comes on again.

My primary display DELL P2715Q is still running at 4K 3840x2160 as before.

I have this build-

Intel Core i9 9900K @ 3.60GHz
RAM 32.0GB
Motherboard - ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO
Graphics card - 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (MSI)

Primary display - DELL P2715Q (3840x2160@30Hz)

Secondary display - TV Vu Pixelight 138 cm (55 inch) Ultra HD (4K) LED Smart TV (55 QDV) currently running at (1920x1080@60Hz)

OS - Windows 10 Pro build 19042.928 (Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0)
Windows installed on NVMe drive Samsung SSD EVO Plus 1 TB
