ASUS (AMD FX) Laptop, Windows 10 64x: 8 Gb RAM, Built in, 8 Gb RAM Installed.
Problem: Windows System and BIOS show ONLY 8 Gb or RAM. and 8 Gb or Virtual RAM.
CPU-Z shows 8 Gb RAM, 8 Gb SPD same MHz, Same Timings.
Why doesn't Windows SHOW my installed RAM??

It is a Laptop PC. 8 Gb of RAM is BUILT IN to the system board. There is 1 (one) "slot" for additional RAM. There is an 8 Gb Dimm, that I installed in that slot.
Not complicated. 1 RAM Slot (Max 8 Gb) 8 Gb built into the mother board. Not removable.

Hmmm, maybe one of the sticks is faulty, either put it as a SINGLE stick on another system or return it.

There IS only 1 "stick." The other is NOT removable. CPU Z shows that Stick as an SPD (Serially Perceived Device) That SPD has the Same Timings as the "Stick" that is Built in. Why would CPU Z recognize the (RAM) "Stick" (SPD) but Windows does not??
I appreciate your replies.

ASUS AMD FX Laptop/
CPU- AMD FX 9830 (3.5) (12 Cores 4 CPU / 8 GPU)
Radeon R7 Graphics
Radeon R460 Graphics (4 Gb DDR5 Video RAM)
Crucial 480 Gb SSD
8 Gb RAM (built in)
8 Gb RAM (User Installed)

No the BIOS shows ONLY 8 Gb of RAM.
The RAM is DDR4-2133 (260 pin) Centon brand,

That is the part called for.

Ram Spped and timings are almost exactly the same, as built in RAM module, according to CPU Z

I have taken out and reinstalled the Dimm a couple of times. No change.
My question remains: why does CPU-Z show the RAM as a functioning SPD, but Windows System and BIOS do not show the installed RAM??
Thanks

The built in Module CPU-Z labels ''RAM'' the installed module CPU-Z labels SPD, CPU-Z also has blanks for 3 more RAM modules, which this PC does not have. What does that indicate??
