Hi, I'm having a constant problem where every time I power on my PC after a normal shutdown, it attempts to boot 1-3 times, tries auto repair, fails, then in win RE if I click startup repair, it eventually boots into win 11. However, I'll have to reconfigure all my settings and logins and such. Obviously I want it to just boot normally as it should and maintain its data.
Some context:
The PC is nearing 8 years old and was having a lot of problems so I ditched the SSD+HDD I originally used and put in a single NVMe with fresh win 11. My install USB wasn't working right so I took it to a PC shop who used a DVD version and claimed it was working fine now. Fast forward to now and I had successfully booted once, but then today nothing would work at all. Then I tried a full PC reset, after which I now have the above problem.
Upon boot the CPU and DRAM lights briefly come on and the CPU fan stops, then it starts again, then VGA light comes on for about 5 seconds before BOOT illuminates for just a split second, and then it restarts.
Turning off fast startup did nothing
Safe mode did nothing
Additionally, once it's gone through startup repair, it seems to run fine indefinitely. I can put it in sleep mode and it wakes right back up when I ask it to no apparent issues. So in theory if I never shut down, it could be workable, but that's obviously not a long-term solution
