Hi,

I have i5 3rd gen
16gigs ram
SSD , HDD
and HD 7970 GPU.
p8-q77 m2

Whenever I turn on my pc the computer runs completely fine and even I hear windows login in sign but on LED I see it's going in powersaving (This happened just today). What can be the actual problem?

Things I have tried.

- Unplugged the Rams cleaned them and the port and inserted it nothing changed.
- Used only 1 ram nothing changed.
- Removed the gpu and inserted 9800gt and display is working perfectly.
- Checked the both 8pin and 6 pin connector of GPU of 7970
- Checked the drivers
- Reset the bios
- CMOS battery removal
- Used HDMI instead of DVI
- Used mini hdmi nothing

Is there something wrong with my GPU ? or my motherboard?

Can someone please help me?

One more thing,
When I turn on my PC the GPUs fans go to 100% full speed and making too much noise. Which is really unusual behavior. Is it because of dust?

Thanks

I am just trying to find a guy where I can test the GPU as it requires much more power then usual card most of my friends are saying that they don't have enough PSU etc.

Any other idea what is actually happening here?

I will check the GPU on some other system and will update here ASAP.
Also, Other GPUS are running fine here on my PC.

If the card is faulty then what can I do to make it working again or simply I will loss like 130 bucks?

Hey bro after using 9800gt for one day on my pc i have inserted my 7970 and it worked perfectly now lets see how long it can work.. What can be the issue ?

I don't believe in it.

Maybe its something wrong with my mobo maybe bios.

Now its running falwlessly without any fps drop or anything.

I am thinking to sell it for 130$ bucks and thinking to buy 1060
