Question Windows Server Backup Recovery Not Listing Files

So, I've been messing around with Windows Server for quite a while now. One thing I've been messing with is Windows Server Backup. It had always worked normally until a couple days ago. Now, when I browse files and folders to recover, nothing shows up. This probably isn't the right place to ask this question but I've found nothing on Microsoft's website so I figured I'd give this a shot.

Do you have any confirmation that the files were indeed successfully backed up?

Are you able to look in the folders via DOS or Powershell?

What Windows Server version and edition is this?
Are you talking about "Server" backup (backing up files on the server), or "Workstation" backup (as implemented in WSE)?

Yes, it allows me to recover the entire backup directory, I just can't go through and pick files.

It's Windows Server 2016 standard. It's the "Windows Server Backup" element of the "Windows Server Essentials" role that is backing up the server's local fileserver HDD to another NAS.

Well, I waited it out since life has been busy and I couldn't find an answer. As Windows tends to do, it just started working again. ¯\(ツ)/¯
