Just to help anyone out there with this problem. Had the same issue where winodws 7 sp1 would hang at the "starting windows" screen and would never get to the colorful windows logo coming up. Tried disabling USB, floppy, and SLI with no results. Pulled all but one stick of RAM and it came up right away on next reboot.
System Specs:
Asus M2N32 SLI Deluxe (running 5002 beta Bios for the proc)
AMD Phenom II X4 925 2.8Ghz
8GB Ram (4x2GB sticks)
Dual 7300GT 256MB in SLI
