Windows start menu and search wont work, cant right click any programs on taskbar

Just had a malware attack and finished cleaning, however it left me with non working windows features. I already tried the Powershell and recovery methods without any success, ran scans with MBAM, SAS, adwcleaner, avast and numerous other anti-software programs all coming up with clean results. No signs of viruses or malware anymore, now I just want to fix my start up menus.

press shift key when selecting restart got to options and restart in safe mode, run antivirus again full not quick

Issue solved itself by a simple OS update, strange.

I had this problem and downloaded all the updated drivers from the graphics card and motherboard and the problem was solved. It looks like a topic but it worked for me
