Question Windows Stops Working

When the PC is turned on, the Windows sign appears, but just as the desktop is about to open, the screen goes black and the Windows OS stops working, but the PC continues to work. What could be the problem and how can we solve the problem? Thank you.

It may be a problem with the graphics drivers, or possibly a startup program or service.
Firstly, Boot the system in Safe Mode to check if system will boot and be stable. Then follow up from there.

Windows XP, 2 GB, Everest 250W PSU, Core 2 Duo E6300, 1.86Mhz, LGA775 CPU, VIA Chrome9 HC IGP GPU

Even if the PC is turned on, after a while (2 hours, 3 hours) the screen goes out and it says check signal cable. But the PC is working, fans working, the power light is on but the HDD is not on and we cannot connect to the PC via the network. I have to reset all the time. Thanks...

Those graphics are incorporated into VIA chipset on the MB, Your XP might have corrupted drivers or possibly whole system (hope it's SP3), Other causes may with HDD and RAM so you should check those too. Can you enter BIOS or XP safe mode? Also try resetting BIOS/CMOS and replace it's battery.
Visually inspect MB, specially capacitors. those old ones tend to go bad. leak or bubble up on top.
