The world says that a mebibyte is 1048576bytes and a megabyte is 1 000 000.

In my world - megabyte = 1024 kilobytes and a kilobyte is 1024 bytes. Same for my father, my colleagues and well, basically all around me (with exception of some mac fanatics). I wish someone to get rid of MiB, GiB and whatever and just accept "mega" as a x1024. Mega is a human word designed to show a unit of measurement that is on a higher level. Just apply it as a 1024 instead of a 1000. The sense is the same. Would make the world a better place.
In my world, if it's associated with bytes and its, it should be x1024, and using it x1000 is like month/day/year.
For scientific purposes they can use they megawat, and gigaelectronvolt, but I guess scientists will still use 3.14 x10^21 or whatever to get their precision as needed be.

Windows 9 will be a flop too. Microsoft needs to get rid of Metro elements on Desktop. Idea of forcing this within desktop is even worse. They need to put Aero back to Windows 7. The Market is not asking Microsoft to release Windows 9 and the market never asked Microsoft for Windows 8/8.1. All what Microsoft had to do with Windows 7 is to bring improved and better IE, DX11.2 and things like that and continue building their software around Aero interface. As far as Mobile market goes they had great opportunity to build whatever they wanted but don't call it Windows because Windows Phone OS has nothing to do with the concept of Windows. For whatever stupid reason there is Microsoft is trying to merge mobile and desktop UI, now with Windows 9 too. I can't wait for 2 years after Windows 9 release and another failure. Then perhaps they will get it. Windows Phone market share dropped down to 2.5%. Metro Apps and Store they are trying to push to Desktop, nobody cares about and honestly those Metro Apps are plain ugly looking, useless.

Unless they include the things that are free in 7, like games such as Solitaire and Chess, and Media Player or something of similar functionality, count me out. They won't get me to shop at their app store by taking things away from me, but I guess that is too complex of a concept for the corporate boobs that call the shots.

do the MSDN Windows 8.1 Pro include media center?
No, but it allows you to install it. Media Center is a $10.00 add on. RT, 8.0 and 8.1 can't install Media Center, it can only be installed on a Pro version.

Hope that makes sense.

Personally, I am hoping Media Center will be included with Windows 9, if not I doubt I would upgrade.

Why would you want that, when you can install Plex or XBMC? (Both are free btw)
