I have a dual boot. Comparable W10 systems, each on its own SSD. One is used for testing.
Till some half year ago, updating both systems with the standard Windows update did not give problems.
However, apparently MS did change something in their book keeping. Now, when one system has received its update, the other system now says after checking for updates: you are up to date. Which is not the case. Any solution?
(this does not apply to Defender updates; they still arrive on both systems).

That's very strange. I have one desktop with 3 copies of Windows 10 and another with 4. This doesn't happen on either of them. I suspect that something's wrong with your system, but it's hard to say what. Take a look at Control Panel's Programs and Features -> Installed updates and see if both are the same.
