Hi, I have a computer whose specifications are:
B550 f rog strix
5800x amd
16g2 X 2 ram
Ssd 2tb nvme Vi5000
. Recently when I install things, the computer simply installs them damaged, for example after formatting a computer there are many bugs and there are many first updates in Windows that failed. Under warranty they replaced me with a new nvme ssd but still when I update after formatting then there is sometimes an update that fails, sometimes with another format it doesn't show me the same update at all, sometimes 2 fail and sometimes after it failed and I restarted to install other updates so on the second attempt it downloads the update . Is this a motherboard problem? If so, then in the nvme connection itself or something on the board? Thanks

Why would you assume its a NVMe problem? Windows updates are related to software. While it could be a storage device issue, since everything else is working, I doubt it.

You did mention "when I install things", does it include installing other things as well, or just when installing updates?

You could try reinstalling Windows through a installation media, if you haven't tried that before.

They replaced my ssd under warranty. They said they checked and every so often it installs a file incorrectly and damages it. After the replacement, I only tried a clean installation of Windows a few times and most of them had amd display and amd system errors in the updates, there was also a Windows update, but it's an update that is known on the internet that Microsoft needs to fix. There were 10 updates in the queue, maybe it's related to an error? Or did you have to install Windows system updates first for the AMD updates? After restarting to install other Windows updates, the updates that failed were installed successfully, but maybe it's related to a problem with the computer because I don't think it's normal for these errors because when I bought the computer and installed it for the first time, these errors weren't there.

If you are having problems with getting windows updates then the first thing to do is make a note of the item you cant download or install ( kb number ).

If you have installed an update that keeps crashing just open add/remove and somewhere on the page you will see a tab where windows updates are listed so simply look for the crashing one and delete it.

Regardless of weather an update is failing to either download , install or crash you could go to the following site.

https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx

In the top right search box type in the details of the item your having a problem with eg .. kb1234 , next you will be given a list of all the different versions of that it and all you have to do is make sure you get the correct one for your build

Hi, except for the failed update which is known to be problematic until Microsoft fixes it. I have 1 or 2 updates every time that fail which are either amd display or amd system. Always after I restart because there are Windows updates that require a restart, I try to install the amd updates again and they don't fail. Maybe because there are 10 updates in the queue and because they wait a long time there is this? Or maybe because they require a different Windows version that is installed in the reboot I did... . It's always either installation errors or rarely says it can't install because there are other updates before it and try again later. Error codes I was told: 0x80248007 , 0x80240009 , 0x80070005
