So i made my gaming pc and i formated my pc and now i configurated him to full gaming performance

i just use my computer for gaming , should i enable Windows updates or just update DirectX and graphic card´s drivers?

Solution
I like to set windows up date to check for updates but let me choose weather to download or install them that way I can review the updates and decide if I want or need them the unneeded /unwanted ones get hidden until I feel there needed down the road of at all

never let windows do it all automatically you may get something you really did not want or need

all you should need is the DirectX9 runtime download - graphic card´s drivers you should go get them manually and uninstall / install them your self

I don't think dx9 run time is for 8 just 7 vista and xp-- Supported Operating System

Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Service Pack 3

sorry about that

have you looked at anything from Microsoft like this ??
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/diagnosing-problems-directx

funny why is that link for 8 but it says on down -- If you receive the same error message after you reinstall the app or game, go to the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer webpage and follow the instructions to install DirectX 9 and receive updates to DirectX 9 and previous versions of DirectX.

but that shows only for what I posted above ?? silly Microsoft

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

under system requirements theres no support listed for any windows 8 ??? hmmmmmm.....
