Windows Vista Internet Connection

Hello,
I am not able to go to the internet via my laptop even though the wireless is hooked up. This just happened a few months ago. The wireless button is blue but when I try to go to internet explorer (or anything) it says there is no internet connection. I've gone to the control panel and made sure everything is ok there....what am I missing? Thank you!

You need an account with an internet provider, perhaps?

Disconnect and re-connect to your wireless signal. Do you have other wireless devices that are working OK? If not, reboot the router and try the connection again.
