Hello!
So I am running Windows 7 Professional on a Mac with Bootcamp. I was given an activation key that should work and is completely legal. However, when I enter it, it says "error 0x8007232B" and "DNS Name Does Not Exist". I've done some research but nothing I've tried will help. I tried the command slmgr -ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx and that didn't work. I've tried many things but nothing seems to be helping. Microsoft has a page about how to fix it but I was having a hard time understanding that, so if anyone is going to recommend that page could you please give me some specifics, make it more understandable or something?
Any help anyone has would be great!
Thank you:)

Sounds to me like windows is trying connect to the internet but your internet is not configured properly in bootcamp? and therefore your getting a DNS error... I've never used boot camp so Im not sure.

Solution
If I recall, bootcamp pretty much boots windows directly from the machine. Install windows 7, skip the part where you type in the product key. Then go to Control Panel - System and Security - and System and activate once you have internet access.

What your doing doesn't sound like your activating normally. But if that doesn't work unplug the internet and activate by phone.

Thanks for the replies! It ended up working after Microsoft support calls😛 I'm not sure what the true problem was but it works now so that's great!
