My computer wouldn't boot and I saw on a forum to clear the bios by removing the battery.
Sure enough my computer now turns on but I get this error and I don't know how to fix it.
I have tried fixboot fixmbr chkdsk, system restore and startup repair, all to no avail.
It wont start in safe mode either.
I want to avoid a fresh install if possible, I foolishly have data that isnt backed up.
I would really appreciate some help with this, I am stressed!

Yes, to elaborate the BIOS reset reverts all BIOS settings to factory default. If Windows was first installed under a different setting (for example, a different SATA mode) you'll have to set that setting properly to boot Windows.

Change sata controller mode to value it had before CMOS reset.
Possible values are: IDE, AHCI, RAID.
Try all until you find the right one (if you don't remember it).
