Hi everyone!

I am having the hardest time with my PC! I just purchased new ram (best and most my motherboard can handle) However after trying to install it i realized that i Can't get into my BIOS. Windows will boot normally and everything works great however if i try to load the BIOS I get a black screen with a cursor (not blinking) in the bottom right of the screen. The computer freezes there until i turn it off. I have updated the bios to the most current version and also cleared the CMOS ( I have not tried removing the battery ) However nothing has helped. Please help a new PC gamer get into the game.

Note: The motherboard is a MSI-fm2-a75ma-e35

Thanks,
Michael

Okay I'm sorry but a computer can not even run with out the raw bios. You will know the bios works as when you turn on the computer you will see a line blink in the top left corner.

The 'DELETE' is usually the button for the bios though it may be different for your motherboard. The Bios doesn't just stop you from viewing it.

But still have a look at this thread:

I should have been more specific. I turn on the computer get the splash screen for MSI then when i either press delete (enter the bios) or f11 to enter boot choice then select bios. That is when the computer freezes. I agree that if the BIOS didn't work at all windows shouldn't either which is why this is so confusing.

Take out the ram sticks and try load bios with just 1 stick.
If you had old ram sticks and bought new ones, it´s generally not recommended to mix different models of rams.

If it still won´t load BIOS with just 1 ram stick, then disconnect everything. And reseat only the most necessary and try again. If that doesn´t work. It may either be a broken motherboard or faulthy psu

Thanks victorion, I will try this when i get home from work. Putting the new ram in made the computer want to go to bios where it would freeze so i put the old ram back in, this let windows load fine but bios would still freeze when i tried to load it. Ill try taking my video card out and disconnecting everything but the keyboard and see how that goes.
