windows xp activation oobe problem

I have windows xp home edition i updated to sp3 and i used the 30 day trial.When the trial expired i found this solution:safe mode and reset the 30 day trial with the command rundll32.exe syssetup,SetupOobeBnk.It worked for a couple of times and the trial resetted again.But now suddenly when i try to do the same thing again after my trial expired it just doesnt work.Shows the welcome screen and the activation message shows (which i cant activate because i dont have the key,the copy of windows i have is offical but a friend lent it to me and he lost his code so i cant activate them).What is causing this problem and i cant get to my desktop even though the same method worked before??,and how can i possibly solve it??Thanks in advance

You can only do that reset 3 times. Time to buy an OS.

Windows trial can only be reset a few times.
If you want to keep using it you need to pay, it is pretty pointless to pay for XP since it support has ended though. You should consider using a better and newer OS.

Windows XP is ancient. Buy a legit copy of 7 or 8 or 10 whenever it releases. No one is going to help you by giving you a key.
