Windows XP Averatec laptop driver help!!

I have an averatec AV6235 and i just installed windows xp x64 on it... i found the SiS drivers for the graphics but none of the other drivers are working like when i downloaded drivers for wlan and modem it doesnt install still says it is missing in device manager. the drivers are hard to find but one thing i have not tried is this.

i dont want to buy it and im not sure if that website is any good but that is the only solution i have found. apparently the laptop came with a driver disk and i dont have that i got it from a friend for 10 dollars and i cant contact him anymore. anybody have any ideas or maybe show me where to get the iso for that disk or a link for the drivers...

Your main problem is that you are using XP 64-bit which is closer to Windows2000 than it is to XP 32-bit.

You could try these drivers; however, I am not sure if they will work om XP 64-bit

but i have a mobile amd 64 2800+ it is a 64 bit cpu why would i use normal 32 bit windows xp?

Not many hardware manufacturers created drivers for XP 64-bit and the 32-bit drivers did not work on the 64-bit version.

Sometimes of the64-bit Windows2000 or Vista drivers worked.

Not sure if your system can support Win7 64-bit

ok so should i try that link you gave me and if that doesnt work then find a vista 64bit driver and if that doesnt work i will have to install 32bit verison? the pc has a pcmcia slot and on ebay it is cheap to get a wlan card for it so i might try that
