How do you do a Backup? I understand that it is in a Valueadd folder,
that is on the Installation disk that is supposed to come with the computer.
I have a Dell 8200 , and the disk, but the folder is not there.
The disk is to have a file called Ntbackup.msi. Can any body help?
Backup was always incluede as a workig program with all the other past
editions
Thank you,
Andy

I just found the folder, I had to jump through
a few hoops to get it! It was on the XP disk

Use the "Backup" program that XP setup installs in the "System Tools"
folder under "Accessories" on the Start Menu? Or are you saying that
you don't actually have that shortcut? The shortcut nominally points
to ntbackup.exe in the System32 folder. I've never seen an XP
installation that didn't have it, but I suppose there's a first time
for everything.

Nope its not installed but a backup utility is available from the valuadd
folder on the install disk.
It works OK but the Automatic System Recovery feature of Pro is not
available in Home
