Hi there!
I'm trying to install Windows XP on a laptop from 2011 that originally shipped with Windows 7. The laptop has the following specs:
Here are a few things I tried so far (64 bit pro iso with SP1):
The laptop has the ability to switch the SATA mode to IDE instead of AHCI but I'm unsure if this will work without the f6flpy driver then.
Any ideas on what I'm missing? Is it the f6flpy driver? If so, where can I find one for the HM65 chipset?
Thanks!
I'm trying to install Windows XP on a laptop from 2011 that originally shipped with Windows 7. The laptop has the following specs:
Intel Core i3 2350m
Intel HM65 chipset
Geforce GT630M
USB 3 ports only
Here are a few things I tried so far (64 bit pro iso with SP1):
Booting from USB: windows crashes for driver iaStor.sys which came from the f6flpy driver
Booting from Internal SATA port: windows freezes at starting setup
Slipstreaming SP2 and the f6flpy driver but unsure if it was for the right chipset (can't seem to find one for the HM65)
Putting it on a usb with winsetupfromusb
Result:
Booting from USB: windows crashes with error 0x7b
Booting from internal SATA port: windows crashes with error 0x7b
Putting a bare 64bit pro SP1 iso on a usb with winsetupfromusb
Result:
The laptop has the ability to switch the SATA mode to IDE instead of AHCI but I'm unsure if this will work without the f6flpy driver then.
