Hello,
once windows xp and windows 7 was installed .windows 7 crashed and i re installed it now it shows two windows 7 and the drive still contains windows xp in d drive. windows 7 is installed in c drive.

What exactly do you want to do?, do you want to do a dual boot setup(have XP and 7 on the same machine), or are you just trying to get rid of XP and install Windows 7?

Also did you reinstall over the older Windows 7 partition?, you might have installed Windows a second time in a clean area of the drive hence you're getting two Windows 7 options.
