I keep getting .zip files that are dated appear in my system 32 folder. Each .zip is 4 gig. I move one to desktop, burn it, reboot, and trash it. So far it is not affecting anything. I checked automated schedules and nothing us there. Any clues?
well first as you said they are time stamped and dated so are they always at same time each day ? Also have you tried to open one up to se what is actually inside of them ?
I am just now getting back to this. Family emergency.
Anyway. Yes I did unzip one of them. It is full of DLL files and exe files. I googled a couple of the names (I have never seen these names before) and they appear to be legitimate files. There is no rhyme or reason as to the time of day or the day itself when these zip files are being created. All the files seem to be 4GB and now are getting as large as 8GB as I clear them out and more room is made on HD. I am really perplexed as to which program is creating these.
Can you tell what DLL are being backed up I mean does it look like window system DLL's do you find random data in then zip or is it always the same files ? That are the name of the zip files are they also random or follow a pattern ?
