Windows10 complete migration

Hello, I am building a new gaming PC. I have a few questions. I have built computers before, but with an individual OS.
My question is, if I take my laptops Windows8 drive (that has free windows 10 upgrade) and clone it to a 3tb drive, (with acronis or some other software) will i be able to boot off the 3tb drive after i clone the laptop drive, then upgrade to windows 10 on that machine?

The W8 license is already tied to your specific laptop. You can upgrade the W8 laptop to W10 but that's it.

Would it be possible to put the laptop drive in the new PC and use it as a boot drive? and not clone it all together?
or maybe use the product ID on a new PC if i wipe the laptop drive?

The only way you get a copy of Windows on your new computer is to buy a new copy. That's it.
