Winipcfg not working?

Hi

Trying to run Winipcfg and normally it works'but now i am getting an error window appwaring coming up saying

"Windows cannot ind winipcfg"

Any ideas?

There is no winipcfg in WinXP.

You must instead use <A HREF="http://is-it-true.org/nt/utips/utips119.shtml" target="_new">ipconfig</A>.

Sounds like you are trying to do this from the Start/Run line. It won't work from there.

You'll see on the page I sent you that this is a Command Line utility.

So ... look on your Start Menu, and find the Command Prompt. It's located under Accessories. Open this, type in ipconfig at the C:\Documents and Settings\User Name line, and hit Enter. You can also use any of the switches under Options on the page I sent if you need extra information. I suggest you start with ipconfig /?.

There is a space between ipconfig and the switch.

yep, ipcofig /? gibes a list of the available switches for ipconfig, I think though that the one you are after is /ALL, thought ipconfig on its own will work fine, start/run/cmd is my prefereble way of getting to a console window
