WinRAR.EXE programs won't open

I've used my Acer windows 7 for a while but then I wanted to install a program from my USB and used WinRAR now all my files have an WinRAR.EXE behind them and even recovery settings are affected it displays an error that says that the archive is an unknown format or is damaged please help

No files should have winrar.exe behind them. The zipped files have zip, rar, gzip etc. as extensions. If you suddenly see exe in front of all files, it most likely means that there is virus infection in there. Could you please post a screenshots of such files please?

I agree.
Run MalwareBytes (free) and see what that sees,and get rid of whatever winrar thing you tried to install.
Windows now handles different compression formats pretty well, and if it's not enough, 7zip is great.
