My goal is to wipe the Recycle Bin in Windows 7 so that files are really gone.

Software called Eraser claims it is able to do this. I have tried other software, but been told that I do not have permission.

Does anyone have experience with Eraser or other software that could wipe the Recycle Bin? Is Eraser safe to download from the maker?

Thank you.

i use eraser and it works easily and quickly depending on what settings you use.

it will swipe the recycle bin or a file before it gets there. i don't remember if there was any bundled software but i don't think their was.

i find it a simple and effective tool to wipe files i want gone.

True, but I'm just wondering about the 'need' here.
