Wiping a hard drive

So the situation as it stands right now guys:
Apparently my Windows somehow got deactivated and now i need to re install windows but not windows 8 but windows 7 because I have a ligit product key of it. Does anyone know how I can downgrade back?

You cant downgrade only fresh re install. A clean install is the best option (back up any data on the drive with the OS). Run the win 7 installation DVD (or USB) you will get options to format the drive or install to the drive (if you install without formatting then the old OS will still be there)

I tried to get the usb to load before but I can't get the usb to load on my motherboard

Use the win7 USB tool, it will format the USB stick (you will also need an ISO image of windows 7) then insert the stick and boot. Go into bios ant set first boot device to the USB stick and it will work
