Hello,

I was just attempting to setup a led strip I recieved in the mail today.

I required a molex power cable to power the 12v adapter. I ended up splicing the black mole cables to find out if I could what the colours were, i.e power/ground. But it was just wire underneath the rubber casing.

I ended up turning off my computer to see if the molex would reach the 12v adapter. Without thinking I left I plugged in, turned on the computer shifted the case back to the normal position. It soon turned off and back on. NO DISPLAY VIA HDMI OR NO POWER TO MY RAZER MOUSE PUFFED IN VIA USB. I turned the computer back around the find the molex still plugged in. I thought that wouldn't have been the reason it turned off. Noticed the two bare wires and ended up touching them together which created a SPARK. Computer turned off and on again. Still no signal to monitor or power via USB to the mouse.....ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

Thank you kindly for your assistance regarding this issue and my stupidity 🙁. I'm assuming the motherboard is gone? Since the mouse light isn't turning on.

I ended up testing the mouse on my old cpu while the ram was out and the same symptoms appeared. Where the led lights on the mouse weren't appearing.

Does anyone suggest a method of testing the motherboard and ram?
