I had a friend wipe my computer clean and reinstall windows xp. For some reason even with the wanadoo disk that came with my livebox we cannot get the internet connections working. I have normal broadband. I have a wireless connection working for my laptop and phone and the wired connection works on other computers in the house but for some reason we cannot re establish the internet connection on the wiped PC. I have had this PC wiped before and XP reinstalled and it conneccted srait away without even having to do anything but plug in the cable. any ideas?

I am not sure what that means but when I go into task manager it show no active Network adaptors found in Networking and when I type the IP address into the address bar it comes up cannot find server. It does say at the top of the screen Cannot find server - Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by wanadoo. We tried using the Wanadoo set up disk that I received when I got the livebox several years ago but that didn't work and also we managed to mess up the wireless connection in the process. Luckily with the help of the ISP we managed to get that back up and running but it seems that we may have wiped something off of the PC that was vital to setting up a broadband connection. Is that possible? I have tried to set the connection up in tools and Network Connections/Broadband and just about every where else that has the word connection in it.
