So i have a Gigabyte ga-m56s-s3 motherboard,and a few months back a problem occured
My internet stopped working just randomly
It started disconnecting whenever i opened almost anything
Examples
Open a game (any game, doesn't matter if it's mulitplayer or singleplayer)
Open any photo
Open Gom player???
Sometimes it even shuts off when browsing,or watching YT videos
As soon as i opened anything, the light on the motherboard shuts off, indicating there's no internet
So what i tried was going from windows 7 to windows 10,updated,still had the same problem
Then i changed the cable going from my modem to my motherboard (a 10 meter long, brand new cable) That solved the issue for some time (By the way my modem is a Huawei hg53-v1)
That solved the issue for about a month, and a few days ago i installed a windows 10 update
After that my internet started doing the same thing, disconnects whenever i open something
I tried searching on the internet but to no avail
So one day while i was cleaning my PC,i took out the CMOS battery,so i could clean thoroughly
I was cleaning for about 30 minutes, then i plugged everything back in,went back to set some options (like time, date, integrated peripherals, virtualization) and started my PC,all worked fine
And a couple of days ago,i started up world of tanks, and noticed my internet was shutting off again, but only on world of tanks
Anyways i went to sleep, left my pc on and the music playing on youtube, while i was asleep my pc went into sleep mode, when the playlist was finished,i woke up the next morning and *woke up* my pc,only to see the problem occur again,i shut it down, turned off the PSU,replaced with another CMOS battery, turned it on,worked again
World of tanks still gives the same problem, turns off the internet
When i check in device manager it says nvidia nforce networking controller (and a bunch of WAN miniports)
Usually when this problem occurs,i go into cmd and type in netsh int ip reset, shut down my pc,remove the battery for some time, put it back, plug it in,and then it works, but stops working some time later
Now i have no idea what this means,or why is it doing it,i am no tech god,but if someone had this issue,or knows what's going on,i would be more than glad to listen,i just want my internet to work fine, like it did before,i don't wanna go into a multiplayer match, only to get kicked because of my internet
Just to mention, the option to shut down the device to save power,in power management (for the nvidia nfroce networking controller) is turned off in device manager
PS,i just tried palying league of legends, kept disconnecting, the green light is stable, the yellow/orange is flashing like stupid

Solution
PCI is an old standard and tp link doesn´t provide updates till windows 7 for the driver. Like before, check if it works out of the box, if not, you will have to find drivers for win10 for it. Saw some successful installations of users. Driver link is below the video. You should scan it for viruses before installing it.

you won´t have to install ubuntu, just boot it "LIVE". Create the boot stick like in the video, but only boot it and start ubuntu without installing it. Click on "TRY Ubuntu"

Couldn´t find a lan driver for windows 10 for your chipset, should work with the driver of windows 10, but looks like it doesn´t work in your PC

Would he not be better trying Mint instead. I've always found it the easiest for newbies to use because it always just works straight out of the box, without any difficult configurations.

I don´t know mint, but hadn´t any problems with Ubuntu out of the box. Only thing I know is that Ubuntu is a larger file.
Mint would be appropriate as well as any other Linux live distribution.

For both, create a bootable usb flash drive or burn to dvd and boot as "live" or "tryout". Open internet browser and have a look if it works or not.

Mint is based on Ubuntu so many things are the same.

I will give it a try today or tomorrow
By the way my internet works now, when i shut down my PC,probably sleep screws it up somehow
I can load gom player no problem, but i don't wanna test my luck with games yet

I have tried ubuntu, but i kept flashing, and sending me back to the live user session screen
Couldn't open a link in mozilla, tho when i open mozilla itself ,and while turning on ubuntu the internet stayed on
Going to downgrade to windows 7 now

Well,i had work these few days, and now i can finally go to win 7,i have got in on a usb stick,WIn 7 SP1 ultimate x64
Could you just run me through all the things i need to install, after i boot into windows, just the things that make sure my internet works

Oh okay, just to be sure, which of the packs should i download? I see there are a few which contain the ethernet driver, but different versions, should i go for the pack with the latest ethernet driver?

So one guy gave me a lan card,it is a gts fc-518ls
Uses an realtek rtl8139D chip, but i can't find the drivers for it,i tried realtek's website, but after installation nothing happens,i check my device manager and it says that Ethernet Controller is not working, says it's not installed (code 28)
Kinda confused about it,i got it from the official realtek website

Look in "Network Connections" and see which devices are Enabled and which are Disabled?

Well the nvidia nforce networking controller is enabled,no other networking controllers are on this pc,except this one that won't work properly :/

Try right clicking the Nvidia nForce Networking Controller and select "Diagnose".

Wait,i don't understand, are those nvidia nforce driverpacks on realtek's website,or should i search for them on google
By the way the one i downloaded from realtek was this one
Win8.1, Win8, Win7 and Vista Auto Installation Program (SID:1635513)
And i am on win 7 now..

Okay so now my lan driver is called nvidia nforce 10/100/100 mbps ethernet, that installed correctly
But after i installed the lan card driver,it also shows other devices->ethernet controller, yellow exclamation mark,it gives me code 28,says the drvier was not installed for it,even though i just closed the installer...
It says the device driver was not installed succesfully ,in a little popup window
this is really confusing

EDIT: I forgot to mention i was given 2 cards,i plugged in the first one,and the activity light didn't even light up,so i was like, alright it's broken, put in the second one (the one i mention in this thread) and the lights came up,but the driver did not install as said above,i went to check on the first one, noticed i had a bunch of dirt on the connector, cleaned it up,cleaned up the pci slot, and the light came on,the driver also failed to install, but after i turned on onboard lan,and searched the hardware id for it,it installed TP-LINK 10/100mbps PCI Adapter driver, all seems well now
Gom player working? Check
Browser fully working? Check
World of Warcraft working?!?! CHECK!
So the LAN port was dying on my motherboard, turning off, whenever i use too much data i suppose

PS,can anyone check will this card work with windows 10
tp-link ppt 1026y pm45-1030m-f Those are the marks i see written on it

The Nvidia nForce 560 chipset on your motherboard is old and not well supported anymore since Nvidia went out of the chipset business long ago. If adding a PCI LAN card to your motherboard works for you, be happy. Why the on-board LAN stopped working properly, who knows.
