Question Wired Issue

Hello -

As of Jan 1, 2023 Ive had sever slow downs of our internet connection. Speed test running from wired desktop and wireless laptop slow. Speed wired 134/40, Wireless from laptop about the same.
Speed test from phone pushing upwards of 1100/200

We have isolated or turned off everything in the home that would connect to the internet.
We have rebooted everything
Even Changed providers and still have the issue of slow speed to PC's Wired/Wireless
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please

What did your ISP say when you asked them about this?

Verizon and Comcast are totally different companies and technologies.

Your ISP is supposed to get you full performance to the router and one system.
The new company is Verizon? FiOS?

Hi - Yes understand the technology, we were with FIOS and now back to comcast and paying for the 1.2GB DL speed.

Then when the Comcast tech comes out and verifies the situation, all will be well.

LOL - The comcast tech had no idea. Said speeds from Router/Gateway are great. Has no idea why the 2pcs, and one laptop are showing speed tests of 102./36 - Just tested.
I was also getting 860/740 before Jan.1

ISP - router - your PC.
You tried this while the Comcast tech was there? And it gave these substandard results?

If so, the only thing it could be is the cable between the router and your PC.
This is a single good quality cable, right?

Yes, the Comcast tech saw this and called Avanced tech support. Can't get them for 24 to 72 hours.

I've tried several Cat5e and Cat 6 cables. All working prior. Updated NIC drivers.. etc..
