wired network but no internet access

I have a window 8 laptop connected by network repeater that is the devices is connected by Ethernet cable. However, the wired connection has stopped working and now i am getting unknown network on my computer, I am not sure what to do, any help would be awesome thanks

That may be the repeater creating a new subnet. If you have wired, it would be best to fix the wired connection and not use the wireless as wired is always faster and more reliable.
