Question wireless adapter issue on kali linux

hey fellas i got a problem thats driving me nuts, i got a kali lnux vm that runs on virtual box and recently i bought it an alfa awuso36nh adapter to do pentesting on, the adapter will get recognized on the machine in network manager, iwconfig, and ifconfig, problem is it wont detect any wifi signals at all, both in standard and monitor mode, it would just not locate any wifi network at all even though my win 10 host machine detects tens of them.

kali is updated to the max
host is win 10
adapter works on other boxes
adapter is inserted through the devices tab
distro is kali linux virtual box edition,

i dident try anything mainstream linux because well, i dont use one, but it did work on parrot os and works randomly on kali

btw i opened the adapter up, everything is official, its not a fake.
