Hi guys, do you know of any wireless pci cards that are fairly inexpensive and also compatible with windows 7 x64? I've looked at reviews for different brands and all I seem to find are people having a lot of trouble getting their cards to work. I ask because I recently made the switch and of course my old one doens't have the right drivers available anywhere. Thanks

If you're looking for internal cards, pretty much anything sold by Linksys or Dlink should be compatible with 7. If you would rather go for a USB wireless dongle, I know for certain that the Dlink DWA-130 works in 7 (7 even has native driver support for that one).

But before you go buying a new wireless card, try checking the manufacturer's website for your current card to see if there are any Vista drivers available. Generally, Vista drivers will work in place of any written specifically for Windows 7.

I disagree about the Dlink DWA-130. While it may download and work at first, it stops working in about two days time and I've had constant crashes with the DWA-130 in. I haven't yet found a wireless adapter that works with Windows 7. Tried Dlink, Netgear and Linksys.
