wireless card says cannot start and gives me a code 10

my Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11 wireless adapter has quit working does anyone know if it can be fixed without me having to get a new wireless adapter

That might be a bad driver. try downloading the driver and reinstalling it. Also try reseating the card in it's slot.
