Question Is my existing PSU powerful enough ?

Hello everyone,

I am thinking of upgrading my CPU to an i7 12700k (from an i5 12400f) and my GPU is a GeForce RTX 4060, I have 8 gigs of ddr4x 2
I have a 600 watt psu already; is that enough?

do you wanna overclock your system?

600 should be enough for it

it´s decent enough
it uses teapo and elite capacitors which are one of the better ones non japanese capacitor brands .
they are also certified for 105°c which is much better than 85°c certified capacitors .

it should be able to deliver its rated power with no issue (not that your system needs 600w - not even close)
your graphics card is very power efficient , only demanding around 110w of power while gmaing .
12700K is more power hungry but still not nearly enough to stress a 600w power supply .

your system should draw close to 300w of power during gaming which is optimal for a 600w unit -
since most power supplies operate best and have the best efficiency at around 50-60% load .
