A windows 10 computer that uses the wireless connection on a router can't see the computers connected by cable. Is there a way I can get the wireless connected computer to see the others?

Solution
The remote computer (Windows 10 - correct?):

Is the remote computer using a built-in wireless adapter, a PCIe wireless adapter, or an USB wireless adapter?

Does the Remote computer show up on the network - e.g., via the router's admin functions?

Being on the network, wired or wireless, is one thing. Being able to connect to shared folders elsewhere on the network is another. And being able to run a POS client is a third. How far away is the remote computer? Can you set up a temporary wired connection to determine if the remote computer will run the POS client wired?

Do you have any other wireless devices that you can use to test wireless in the area around the remote computer? Or temporarily move the remote computer...

I have an odd problem happening. A client is still running a DOS POS program and I have it going on a windows 7 machine. I was able to map the drive so other computers (one was windows 10) could have access to the POS program. They are all connected by wire to the router though. They want to be able to have access to the POS program on another computer that connects wireless. They have been putting off switching over to another program for a long while now. If I am unable to make this work it might be the inspiration they need to make the switch. I gotta try though.

The key is to narrow things down and identify some possible reasons for the wireless failure. Or get some error code or pop-up window to appear.

Solution

The computer uses a USB wireless adapter to connect. The computer used to connect with wire and worked fine but the wire ran across the floor through two offices. I've mentioned running a wire up through the ceiling and dropping it down but they for now are reluctant to do that.
I was in briefly on Friday and saw some things that makes me suspect that changes have been made without me knowing. Didn't have time to track them down but should be going back next week and can spend some time looking at was changed and go from there. I think you pointed me in the right direction as far as what I need to be looking at so I am going to accept this as the answer and hope it leads to a solution.

Thanks.
