have wired connection on my desktop windows vista have purchased laptop to add on wireless on windows 7 have cannot connect on laptop through wireless only with wired

Which version of Windows 7 do you have 64 bit or 32 bit? What the brand and model number of you wireless NIC. Check device manager and check the status of your network cards. If you see yellow question mark, see if the driver is installed. 64 bit drivers may not be available, so check with your manufacturer of the laptop and or the NIC manufacturer.
