Thanks for all your answers in the forum already.... I haven't found one that can help me though. Please help and thanks in advance. You guys are awesome.

I had Windows 8 PC, iPad, and Android phone all using a wireless connection through my Edimax BR-6225n router. I know my router is the problem.

Every 15 minutes, the connection would drop and the devices did not show a dropped connection for anothr 2 or 3 minutes later. After turning off and back on my wireless router box, it works for another 15 minutes. When the connection failed the last time, I tried to ping web sites using both the names and DNS but both failed. I also ran two commands to come up with the following information (see below).

When I rerouted my PC's connection to LAN (without the wireless router box), its connection works, while the wireless on my other devices doesn't. That's why I know it's the router. I read this article (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/33076-42-randomly-losing-internet-connection) but I honestly don't understand all of it and I don't see how that would help my iPad and Android mobile devices.

Whenever something like this happens to me... (annoying wifi resets/disconnects.....) I just replace the damn thing. The resets on the modem and router is the first thing you can do, then factory reset on router.... failing that nothing else you can do really when the devices count on DHCP to "get" all the information from the device its connecting from.

Why wifi stuff dies.. who knows.... Maybe my kids placed a p&b sandwich on the thing and some oozed into the router... ? Eventually stuff needs to be replaced and that's a very common mistake to over troubleshoot it and cut the losses with a new one.

The first thing I always do is to do a factory reset on the router and try to connect (don't worry about security or any settings until you confirm the hardware is working properly). Give it a test run.

If all works well, set one thing at a time - there may be a setting on the router that is causing the problem (i.e. setup WPA/WPA2 only).

Thanks, but I already tried reset, so it's back to the default settings already and no WPA/WPA2. Windows troubleshooter says there is not connection with the DNS or something. That's true because I get nothing.

LOL It's funny you should say that. I just got an extra one from my brother in-law. It works fine (I'm using now.)
