Hey im having some issues with wifi. I have a actiontec q100 and using a reltek rtl8192u and only get 6.5 mbps and have a good signal strength. Ill admit it im not very good but im learning quickly with computers and recentally tried i change the chanel width to 40 mhz to 20 mhz but got 13.5 but was unable to connect to the network and do anything. I dont really know where to start but if u help me im sure i can get some where

Disabling wireless zero totally did the trick for me. The people posting in this thread really know what they're talking about. It's not enough to just disable wireless zero though, you need to install/enable your card manufacturer's network monitor utility.

For me, I had to enable/start the Linksys Wireless Network Monitor. Once I did that with Wireless Zero Turned Off, everything has been working like a charm. Thanks guys!

It may be a bit late, but I had this problem with my Linksys router and fixed it by disabling CTS Protection in advanced wireless settings. Didn't have anymore lag spikes in-game, and had no other problems with my connection.

ME TOO
ME TOO
ME TOO

Thank you! All of you! I've been frikken miserable in raids in WoW dealing with 2s of lag every 10s, for the past three weeks! Whats weird is, it has been fine for TWO YEARS now without issues

"control panel -> admin tools -> services -> right click windows zero config -> STOP "

And I disabled.

FIXED! FIXED!

Thank you so much /hugs n kisses

Now I dont die in embarassment from lag spikes then look lame for saying "It was a lag spike!"

How come i use win7 64bit home premium and my service is the same as in the vista WLAN autoconfig (if i disable it i loose conection). I dont have WZC service and do have the huge lag spikes.... Grrrr. Any clues?

Need Help!

I play CS 1.6 Online on my laptop. The game starts on smooth but after 10 to 20 mins the lagg starts and gradually increases. The only solution then is to restart my system again.

I am using Belkin wireless router but i dont think going wireless is the problem here as the game works fine in the start. Must be some memory issue. Do help me with this as it is really annoying restarting my sys. again and again.

Thanks
