Question Wireless multiroom speaker recommendations

My mother-in-law is wanting me to help her pick out some wireless speakers to put in her house for a multiroom type setup so she can listen to music throughout her house. She has a small townhouse so would probably be good with 2-3 speakers. She has a very limited budget and spending $200/speaker for Sonos/Heos is not really a great option. She is not an audiophile so don't need super awesome sound, but was wondering if there was anything out there that was comparable but cheaper. Thanks in advance.

If you get something less expensive it might not be as reliable.
You could go with Sonos Play:1 WiFi speakers system.
Take into account that the system is dependent on your home's WiFi network performance.
