Hello Everyone,
I've had issues with my wifi for about 8 months. I have an asus u56e laptop that came with windows 7 on it. I later upgraded to windows 8 and everything still worked fine. One day, out of the blue, my wifi started acting strange and would sporadically stop working. When this would happen, I used to just go to the device manager and scan for hardware changes and 90% of the time it would work. Over time, this persisted more and more often and the fix would work less and less often. It got to the point where my wifi worked so rarely that I did a factory restore. This didn't help though, so I installed windows 7 home premium on it yesterday, but again to no avail. The wireless just permanently doesn't work. I downloaded a driver updating program and updated all my drivers and it shockingly worked! My wireless was working for the first time in months, but that stopped after like ten minutes. In the device manager, it's just not recognizing the new drivers.
Anyways, sorry about the lengthy story. I hope enough detail was provided! Let me know what I can do to solve this issue.
