My LAN consists of 3 PCs connected to my D-Link Wireless router via Category
5 cable. On rare occasions I also use a laptop that gains access to the LAN
with a wireless connection. The router connects to the outside world with a
cable modem.
I use Windows XP on all of my computers, have the XP firewall activated, and
use an antivirus and antispyware program. Is it possible for someone outside
my home to gain access to my system in any way when the laptop is not being
used? If so, what can I do to prevent it? Thanks.
