Wireless USB Adapter occasionally drops connection

So, I just built a new computer, using an IOgear GWU625 Compact Wireless-N USB Adapter to use the internet. It connects to my network just fine, but periodically I will get 100% packet loss, and essentially am disconnected from the intenet. Windows 7 says I'm still connected to the internet and everything, and when I troubleshoot the problem using network diagnostics it gives me this, leading to me believing it is a problem with the USB adapter, since all other computers connect to the modem just fine:

In general, I find the Windows diagnostics to be consistently worthless.

If several other devices connect fine, and do not have this issue, than it is most likely the USB adapter. I would get a second one, and see if the issue persists. I have an Edimax N150 as a backup and it costs under $10.
