i've just purchased an addon USB/1394 connector for a floppy bay but the
connectors arent the block type but single plug-in wires (chieftec special).
the problem is that the wiring in the manual is different to the diagram for
the add-on card.
1 2 1 6
3 4 2 7
5 6 8KRA2+ 3 8 Chieftec diagram
7 8 4 *
* 10 5 10

anyone have done this before and which wires go were. which is the
overload????? and what is difference between +5v and vcc and which goes
where.

Hi, Vcc is the +5VDC line on USB. Epox should have wiring in manual of the
onboard USB ports or in support section of www.epox.com Dont worry if you
don't have enough ground wires, one on each USB port is fine, so long as D-,
D+ and VCC(5VDC) are on the right pins. Don't know what you mean by
overload...

It would be better to refer to the wires by name.

Vcc and 5V are the same thing.
