Witcher 3 won't launch

I know this isn't exactly the right place to ask this but I've tried steam and had no answer.

I've had no problems with the game until recently. The game simply won't start. When I try to launch it it comes up for a split second and creates a ceash file. I've reinstalled it several times, even installed it on a new harddrive all together but it won't launch.

I've tried rolling back the nvidia drivers to a version I knew it worked with and still no results. I've looked up tutorials on how to fix it by deleting the patch0 file and the witcher 3 file in 'my documents,' still nothing.

The official error code I am getting is: Crash reason: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (3221225477), Error reading location 0x0000000c. Could anybody help please?

The Gog.com support seems to be for games bought specifically on Gog.com. If I asked for help there they might just redirect me to steam help services.

Then ask steam customer service for your purchase.

Installation problems are usually drm related
